A woman in England recently allowed her 14-year-old daughter to have make-up tattooed onto her face (you can tell how insane this is by my use of italics).
Sophie Watson, who’s already won a number of beauty pageants and wants to be an actress and singer, had eyeliner, lip liner, a fake beauty mark, and her eyebrows tattooed with makeup. The effect is said to last up to five years.
Well that’s not so bad. Five years will just fly by. Still though, it seems a bit extreme (by a bit I mean extremely) — the procedure took about seven hours and cost £1,200 (about $1,900). Watson needed parental consent, which her mother was happy to give.
So far the reactions have been pretty unfavorable, with most people arguing that allowing a child to have something like this done lets her think it’s okay to not accept herself the way she is.
